Most of them are rejected as potentially libellous or just far too offensive to appear here. I mention this because yet again I'm in the dog house with one reader for allowing a comment that on reflection just crosses the acceptability line.
I wish I could let you see the venom that exists within a party that has already descended into civil war 6 months after taking power. But I can only allow a handful of the milder comments.
So you won't see any of the disgusting homophobic comments directed against a female Labour councillor in South Liverpool. Nor will you see the allegations that another stole money from a residents association - unless we see some evidence to back up the claim. Or the repeated accusations of another Labour councillor being a wife beater... or the accusation that a candidate standing in north Liverpool will sleep with anyone but his wife.
Why don't you all just hire a boxing ring for a night and get it all off your chests?
Comments littered with F, C and T words are always rejected, as are racist, sexist, ageist or homophobic posts, or abuse directed at someone's physical appearance or impairments. Before pressing "publish" this site asks the question "if the politicians involved were MPs, would Private Eye publish this?" If not, don't bother to send it in.
love and licks to all of you,
Sally

and what about the endless internal fighting of the lib dems, dare I ask?
mainly centred of course around that most intrepid of duo's, Batman and Robin?
Ah, you have now changed it.
I am still not aware of an openly lesbian Councillor in South Liverpool.
I fear you may be talking about your own party..foul language, internal fighting and sleeping around are not part of the Labour way dear, perhaps you have been reading to many cheap novels.
Oh sadly deluded Anonymous, the information that comes with these comments could only come from within the Labour party.
That they have now become extremely racist as well as homophobic just shows there are some seriously sick people within your party.
Sally, how do we know what you say is correct - are you getting any abusive messages at all? We only have your word for it. I'm not convinced, and I would suggest this is clealr political mischeif on your part.
Nice try Loui...err, I mean Anonymous. I know from first hand experience the foul language, fighting and sleeeping round are all part of the "Labour way" from your manifest young activists - and thats all just in the bedroom.
Btw, for the record, my reading tastes are mainly centred round Marlowe, Shakespeare (as quotes on here will attest too) and some post-modern prose. And the poetry of Dylan Thomas. No cheap novels here, my dear / luv.
This is a message to anyone who cares to read it, from the real Louise Baldock. I dont care what people type on other people's blogs, nor whether they choose to use their own names or not. But frankly it really pisses me off when people pretend to be me, or to suggest they might be me so that I become a victim of other people's attacks. I am not the anonymous poster, the LubieLoo poster (clearly a homophobic alias), and clearly not the Old Whore Horse. How can Sally claim not to allow comments that are homophobic, racist, sexist, ageist etc and then allow these comments on the same posting? What is the matter with everyone? Please will you find someone else to target and bully because I am sick to death of it. Absolutely sick of being pilloried, lambasted, targetted and bullied by people who think I am in there in the mix, writing these horrible slurs. I REALLY AM NOT! Check the ISPs of the posters. You can see for yourself. You are cowards, all of those of you who wont post in your own names, and I dont care which party you are in. Please leave me alone. I am not the person you think I am, I do not behave the way you think I do, it is a huge myth that certain LibDems have created and now I think genuinely believe it, but you must trust me that I am not sitting here night after night writing bile about any colleagues, anonymously or otherwise, the person who is taking my name, or intending to suggest that they are me has done untold damage for a very long time and it needs to stop. Please.
Louise posted on her blog a jokey recipe for a rather alcoholic christmas pud - clearly on this occasion she took her amusing post a bit too literally, judging from this extraordinary outburst.
I fail to see how 'LubieLoo' is a homophobic alias in the first instance. However it is somewhat indicative of the mindset that the complainent exhibits - this long persistant idea of victimhood. I am not surprised really, as the politics that this Cllr stands for largely consists of mythologised victimhood to capture the hearts and minds of the dis-affacted and generally malcontent of the masses. This is how Labour thrives in the North.
The "homophobic, racist, sexist, ageist" comments do not exist on this blog, despite Cllr Baldock's insistance that they do. I have to wonder if these injustices, particularly this Labour obsession with female equality (for a long time now well established, but look at her blog, and the rhetoric of her party's Leadership, and you'd think it was the 1950s) get these Labour clowns out of bed in the morning.
And for the record, in one discourse on her blog, Louise alleged 'Mrs. Furious Gay' was some sort of homophobic attack, which is totally rediculous considering who it was evidently written by.
As for suggesting she spends every night at home toiling away at writing anonymous blog comments against her fellow Labour councillors, apart from being an obvious example of the aforementioned theme, I don't think anyone actually thinks that. But it is well established her party locally is rife with internal fighting and personalised nastiness, manifested with facts gleamed only from within that writhing pit of nastiness, and has subsequently made it's way online.
I too am frankly pissed off, being consistantly linked to the authorship of this blog, on numberous occasions by her with thinly vailed references to me, specifically via my sexuality, certainly on one political website, if not more. Perhaps Louise should think upon her own self-created beliefs before striking out at the ones she alleges.
What a bizarre outburst by that councillor.
If anyone cares to read the anonymous comment, it's punctuation and linguistic style conforms with the posts on her blog. Of course, for fairness sake, it is always possible it was written by anyone other than Louise Baldock - but her comment proves she is a regular reader of this blog, despite stating on her own site she refuses to read DudetheDog.
Also, she states in her ramblings she doesn't care if posts are in the writers name or not, only to go on to call those who don't "cowards".
It is perhaps this sort of consistency that has brought about the disasterous half-million pound grant to the disused cemetery - an area that has been much improved by volunteers, but that figure really does defy logic and belief when considering the Councillors area is one of the poorest in the land, and the current economic state brought about by the Labour party. Imagine what good that money could have gone too rather than being thrown away on personal interests.
Take some time off Louise, that is my advice. Both you, and your unfortunate ward constituents will benefit much from this.
I think we can safely assume most, if not all of the anonymous comments on this blog have been written by the real Louise Baldock, and not just this blog but all the politcally orientated blogs based in Liverpool.
Sally, did you not recently state you have had manifest obscene messages sent to this blog, most of which have been far too offensive to publish, on a range of subjects -including sexual orientation and bedroom morals, written in an irratic and rambling fashion?
So we have established - by her own admission - she is NOT the Old Whore Horse.
Now there's a turn up for the books - what? What is it exactly you have against Marlowe, Shakespeare and Dylan Thomas exactly, Councillor?
She's totally lost it. Thats the offical line.
Yes that was somewhat of a strange post, clearly I was a bit tired and emotional, or had indeed been at the Christmas cooking sherry. The gist of the post does stand however. I am not responsible for those anonymous posts on political websites that some of you believe. I realise that some appear to be written in a style that might loosely resemble mine, but nonetheless I can assure you that I have not written them. It is an easy enough trick to imitate someone else, particularly if you are trying to reflect attention away from yourself. I do know or suspect who some posters are and what I was clumsily trying to express was that it is unfair for them to pretend to be me, thinking they would rather I was in the firing line than them.
If you want to see my real style, and how I behave with LibDems you can see me in action in full council or in select committees or indeed on the street. I am not one of the finger- waving ranters, am I? I don’t shout or raise my voice in any political contributions you will have heard me make, and I don’t make party political contributions as a rule. Mainly we have either serious conversations or a bit of a laugh.
Surely the people more likely to be leaving anonymous critical or abusive comments on political websites are those who cannot stop themselves from doing it in the flesh either. It has always surprised me that the LibDems who comment negatively about me on this website think so desperately little of me, think I am despicable, but then I can only assume they are people who have never met or spent any time with me. I guess I am guilty of being assertive to a degree which can raise a few eyebrows, but spiteful? No, that’s just not my way. It really ISN’T .
It has gone into folklore that I have said terrible things about the LibDems on my blog. But did you ever actually read the entries concerned? I bet you didn’t, because you would be hard pushed to find anything much to get excited about. And they are all still there you know, nothing was ever removed.
I will leave it there because I doubt anyone is listening.
Incidentally, the HLF funding for the cemetery is paid for out of good causes lottery money, not from general taxation, I think it is unfair of the contributors to suggest that Kensington does not deserve this success. Frank Doran came and supported the cemetery a few times, he would not agree with you either. Don’t let your imagined hatred of me reflect on the important issues and projects in my ward, that would be grossly unfair to the people who live there.
